The unboxing and initial setup took about 15 minutes, then I hopped straight onto it. The computer display is easy to understand, so I didn’t even need to read the manual! That being said, I do work in IT so someone who is not technical may need to consult the manual. So far, I’ve used it for about 6 weeks, walking between 20 to 40 minutes most weekdays. It has performed flawlessly so far and I am already feeling much fitter.

I am a keen runner who spends anywhere between 8 to 10 hours walking each week. So, I really wanted something that I could use on rainy days and in the winter months. This treadmill looked like it would do the job perfectly. Walking on it is smooth and there is a fair bit of bounce, thanks to the suspension system. This makes it less jarring on the knees.
This is a good choice for anyone with a small to medium budget.

All I do is slow walking in front of my tv in my living room and this does the job perfectly. I heard sitting is one of the worst things you can do to yourself so I am trying to mix things up and walk since I sit all day at the office.

The traction on the belt is also nice and tacky, so I feel safe walking at full speed. I usually do intervals on it, so I am walk as fast as possible then relax for a short while. The only downside is that I wish the arms were a little longer, but I think they need to be short so it can fold. A very high quality machine, I love it!

After years of wanting a treadmill I decided to finally pull the trigger! When I go to the gym I usually spent almost all of the time on the treadmill, so having one in my home meant I could cancel my gym membership. No more getting hit on by muscle bound jerks was an added bonus!
Having a treadmill means I can walk every day, even when the weather is atrocious (as it often is in Seattle). After a week of using it, I can say I absolutely love it. It is as smooth as the gym treadmills and the ability to fold it means I can put it away after use. That’s handy for apartment dwellers like myself.
The only downside is that it is a little heavy when still in the box, so you will need help getting it into your home, especially if you have stairs! Once out of the box it is quite light and easy to push around.

Want my honest opinion? I’ve used a lot of treadmills in this price range, and I’ve got to say this is easily one of the most compact and durable fold-up treadmills I’ve used. A lot of bang for the buck. The fact that it can accommodate individuals weighing as much as 200 lbs goes to show just how durable it is. Even setting the treadmill to 8 mph while sprinting barely shows any signs of stress on the belt or motor. This truly is great value for money.

I would recommend this treadmill only for walking or speed walking. Seems like it would be scary to run full speed as I am 6’4 and have long legs.

I recently made the decision to lose some weight after seeing some horrible photos of myself on social media! I looked like a fat Robert De Niro! I couldn’t believe how much weight I had gained around my belly and hips. I decided that a treadmill would be the best option for burning calories.
After exploring the options, I chose the Malibu 2421 because it was affordable, could be collapsed for storage, and has a suspension system to cushion impact on my poor old knees.
4 weeks after the purchase, I am confident I made the right decision. It is quiet, well-constructed, easy to use and simple to fold up. I simply jump on it for between 30 to 45 minutes every morning. I am already seeing the results! Looking forward to getting back to “taxi driver” era De Niro.
