Since quitting my gym membership due to familial obligations, I had been fantasizing about getting a treadmill for my basement. Well, did some research online and ended up getting the Malibu 6.0. I did research other brands in the same price range, but they simply did not pack enough features. I’ve always been skeptical about buying stuff online, but there was already a fair amount of praise flying about in the reviews, so I took the plunge. I’ve never looked back since.

For this price tag, I was pleasantly surprised that it goes all the way up to 12 mph and has 18 incline levels. I love waking up early in the morning and being greeted by my brand new Malibu 6.0 – a cup of coffee and I’m pounding away on this thing. Even after getting stressed for 45 minutes, the belt and motor continue to run effortlessly. This thing was built for durability, that much I’ll tell you right off the bat. Keep in mind though that you may not find all the bells and whistles you typically find on more expensive treadmills such as high fidelity speakers or an iPod port. But that’s a given; at this price, and the ability to fold-up for easy storage, I couldn’t be happier.

I just got the Malibu 6 and absolutely love it. I’m a little over 6 feet tall and weigh around 200 lbs. I typically enjoy running outdoors but there are days when the weather just isn’t well-suited to outdoors running. And then there are times when I just don’t have the motivation or energy to drive down to the local gym. This fold-up treadmill was the answer to my woes.

Don’t know where to begin – This is an easy-to-move-around treadmill that lets you enjoy a good workout without breaking the bank. I know people who have invested in treadmills nearly three to four times the price and ended up sending them in for repairs after hardly a month of use. I doubt if you’ll ever have this issue with California Fitness products. This is the second treadmill I’ve bought from them, and so far (knock wood), both have been purring away effortlessly. The bottom line is that this is an amazingly durable treadmill, given its price. You will not have a single regret.

If you need a budget-friendly treadmill that’s easy to fold-up in limited space, the Malibu 6.0 should be right on top of your list. I’ve been really test driving this thing, getting a lot of great mileage out of it for the past 4 months. I deliberately posted a late review to lend my thoughts and impressions after putting it through rigorous use. We just love it! My wife and I often toss a coin to decide who’s going to use it first. We’re using it daily for an average of 5 to 6 miles in total, at 6 mph. Still working like new.
